As of April 1st 2017, for greater flexibility for guests we have updated the deposit due by guests.
The default deposit percent is 50% of the booking value, irrespective of when the arrival date is.
Hosts can however request a lower or higher deposit from guests.
All bookings confirmed prior to 01 April 2017, will follow the terms below:
For most listings, if your booking is 35 or more days away, guests may opt to pay 50% of the total booking amount to secure their reservation.
(For listings with "Super Strict" terms, our 50% option is only available if your check-in is 42 days away or more)
The second 50% payment is due 31 days before check-in (listings with "Super Strict" terms are deducted 40 days before check-in).
Credit cards are auto-charged, but EFT paying guests must remember to do their second manual payment, and will be reminded via SMS and email.
If your credit card charge fails, for the second payment amount you will be notified via SMS and email.
EFT payments for the second amount, should be done 33 days before check-in to allow adequate time for the funds to clear into our account.
For flexible, moderate and strict listings: If the second payment (full booking amount) is not reflecting in our account 14 days before check-in your booking will be cancelled.
For Super strict listings, payment must be reflecting in our account 32 days before check-in, or your booking will be cancelled.
If a booking is cancelled due to non-payment, depending on the listing terms, we will not be able to refund the initial 50% payment.
