Create your special In a few Easy Steps:


Log in here - https://www.afristay.com/login/

Click on your name on the right

Click edit profile

On the left click listings, then specials and discounts

Click “add a new special”


Enter the Title eg “Weekly special”


Enter the discount percentage -  This is the discount that will be deducted from your rates

Min stay requirements - This will make your special available only to stays that meet or exceed the specified number of minimum nights. For example, to give a weekly discount you would select 7 nights.


Stay dates - You can either have the Special applied to stays for anytime OR during a specific period.


If you choose to load a special or just a specific period, a bookings check-in dates must be between these dates. If a booking's check-in occurs during the special, but check-out is outside the special, then the special rate will be partially applied to the applicable nights within the special. The last applicable day for the special is the specials end-date.


Description -  Enter the details for the special.  


Go-live date - You can either place the special live now and keep it love till the special expires OR you can schedule the special, and make it valid for a limited time (flash deal). If you choose to load Flash deal, the start date will be the date the special appears on Afristay.


Rooms select - The special can either be applied to all rooms or you can select the rooms it applies to


Click save changes.


Notes:


  • Pls make sure your rates include our comm+vat.


We do not have the following features yet:


  • Stay for 3 nights and pay for 2.
  • There is no option to add items to the special eg  complimentary champagne or breakfast 
  • Specials just for pensioners or students. If a Pensioner/Student special is added, the discount will be given to anyone who enquires.
  • The option to add a Rand value as a discount. You would only be able to add a percentage off your rate. Eg, you are offering R200 off your “King Room:, You would then need to calculate the discounted rate. You can do this by taking the special rate/normal rate*100.


Example :


Special rate is R600

Current rate is R900


Specials rate / Current rate * 100 = X

X - 100 = discount %


R600/R900 * 100 = 66.66

66.66 - 100 = 33.33%


So you would then use 33% as the discount when adding the special.


  • Weekday specials need to be added week by week. Example, you are running a weekday special (Mon - Thurs) for the month of November 2019. This means you will need to add 4 specials using each Monday as your start date and each Thurs as your end date.
